Design better orgs, develop better leaders, build better products.

I help develop cross-functional organisations at all scales, coach product leaders, and align teams around delivering value and building products people love.

I’m a 25 year product veteran.

Over 25 years and across the globe, I’ve built my career as a product leader, founder, speaker, coach, facilitator, and advisor to executive teams. In that time, I’ve built products and product teams in startups such as Allt om StockholmHuddleCovestor, and Cazoo as well as global brands such as Monster and the Financial Times.

Currently I’m the Product Partner at EQT Ventures, one of Europe’s Top 5 VC firms, on a mission to scale European startups to global winners.

I’m also the Founder of ProductTank and Co-Founder of Mind the Product – together the world’s largest product management community with meetups in 215+ cities and annual conferences in London, San Francisco, Singapore, Hamburg, and Manchester.

And (not to brag, but) I also wrote the book on product leadership: I’m the Co-Author of Product Leadership: How Top Product Managers Launch Great Products and Build Successful Teams, and am currently working on my next book…

Nice to meet you!

“When Martin joined us product management was a total mess – he swiftly brought critical thinking and process into the equation, turning product decision-making from a black box into something the entire company could understand, appreciate and feed into.”

— Andy McLoughlin, OBE. Co-Founder of Huddle & Partner at Uncork

Seasoned entrepreneurs and operators backing the next generation of founders.

Fuelled by some of Europe’s most obsessive company builders, engineers, designers, marketeers, data scientists and scaling experts turned investors, EQT Ventures supports ambitious founders on their journeys to global success with over €1.2 billion in capital, and some of Europe’s most experienced investment advisors, most of them company builders themselves.

EQT Ventures is designed as a hybrid between a VC and a startup, and is part of EQT, a global investment organisation with more than €80 billion in capital.

As a product partner I help all our portfolio companies with product org design, scaling, and strategy challenges.

“Although one of Europe’s biggest funds, EQT Ventures is made up of incredibly strong operators turned investors. They really understand what it takes to build a business and we’ve had exceptional support in leadership, product, marketing, and more!”

— Miki Kuusi, Co-Founder & CEO of Wolt

I talk a lot (at conferences).

I’m a regular speaker at companies, meetups, and conferences around the world, including Lean Startup Week, Silicon Slopes, and Stockholm Tech Fest. I’ve earned my speaking chops as MC and introducing keynote at #mtpcon, the largest product conferences in the world as well as hundreds of meetups all over the world.

“One of the best talks at Mind the Product was not even an official talk but the introduction by Martin Eriksson”

— Marty Cagan, Silicon Valley Product Group

Published by O’Reilly in 2017 and written together with Nate Walkingshaw (CXO at Pluralsight) and Richard Banfield (VP of Design Transformation at InVision), my book Product Leadership has been widely regarded as the guide for how to launch successful products and build great teams.
